Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a 250 cow organic dairy operation located in California that is currently searching for a hands-on Dairy Manager. Organic background not required, but ability to manage personnel is. Will manage all day-to-day operations including: staff management; budgeting / long term planning; purchasing feed, supplies, etc.; silage planting and harvesting; milk quality; record keeping; project planning and scheduling; daily feeding of the cows and selecting feed rations; feeding calves and daily maintenance / cleaning of stalls and pens; health care of the calves and cows; breeding of dairy cows (AI) and assisting Veterinary checks; cleaning corrals and maintaining bedding in the barns; general repairs and maintenance of the farm / milking barn; perform other job-related duties and work on special projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have current Dairy Experience to be Considered for this position along with ability to manage personnel; Prefer 4 year Ag degree AND 2+ years dairy farm experience; Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) is a plus; Must be computer literate; Have a valid US Drivers License and be insurable (Clean Driving Record); Prior experience driving tractors and trucks; Ability to lift 80 pounds and be in sound physical condition; Organized; Self Starter.
