Benefits Analyst – Decatur, Illinois
Benefits Department – Decatur, Illinois

This is an exempt level position.

The Benefits Analyst will have a strong emphasis on process documentation and incorporation of efficiencies throughout the department. Operational excellence with the focus on the customer is our primary goal. The Benefits Analyst will review controls of all processes and work to establish benchmarks for quality, internally and with our vendors.

The Benefits Analyst will develop, recommend and present plan reporting by:
• Analyzing employee benefits plans, programs and/or practices;
• Researching utilization experience, trends and demographics;
• Developing recommendations for benefit plan revisions;
• Ensuring compliance with various employee benefit laws and regulations; and
• Coordinating viewpoints from appropriate parties within and outside of ADM.

Good communication skills are necessary for interacting with vendors, internal department members and Company management. The Benefits Analyst will participate in the selection of the best-fit vendors for ADM and interact on an on-going basis to ensure an effective vendor-client relationship.

Position requirements:
• BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 1-3 years relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to successfully identify, implement and maintain administrative support systems.
• Good communication skills (one-on-one and with vendors/customers).
• Analytical skill, problem solving ability, attention to detail and people management skill.
• Good customer focus and the ability to build relationships.
• Ability to work alone or in a team environment, with various types of people.

Position preferences:
• Knowledge of ADM IBM system.
• Hospital or insurance carrier environment experience.
• Experience in claims and benefit plan administration.
