Area Manager

Our client, a dynamic company in the distribution and marketing of 
brand name farm input products, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic 
and motivated professional.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing
marketing strategies to optimise sales and profitability of the product portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage and support distribution channels to improve performance
• Set and achieve sales budgets at end-user and reseller level
• Seek out and secure new business opportunities
• Develop effective working relationships with distributors and agents
• Forecast, budget and inventory control

You will be self-motivated, reliable, capable of working unsupervised with highly 
developed interpersonal and communication skills. An understanding of soils and 
plant nutrition complemented by a logical approach to problem solving would be 
a distinct advantage. An understanding of broadacre cropping and pasture management 
with the confidence to negotiate at all levels of the distribution channel would be seen 
as beneficial. Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, while not essential would be well 
regarded. An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful 
candidate.
