Job Title: Registration Associate
Term: Contract (one year)
Department: Regulatory and Biological Development
Location: Guelph Office
Reports to: Director of Regulatory Affairs

QUALIFICATIONS 
*Masters degree in an agricultural science related field such as agronomy, ecology, chemistry, toxicology, biology, etc.
*Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
*Knowledge of the agriculture and/or crop protection industry
*Excellent attention to detail
*Some statistical courses or familiarity would be an asset
*Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
*A passion for the industry and an ability to work at a rapid pace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist the Regulatory Managers in data analysis, summaries, and submissions
• Complete data entry and submission preparations for pesticide registration submissions and renewals, including filing in the electronic index
• Analysis of field data to prepare summary tables, frequency distribution tables and pivot tables for submissions to the Pest Management Regulatory Association (PMRA)
• Assist Technical Managers on projects related to the registration, renewal, re-evaluation, etc. of Syngenta products and chemicals
• Respond to inquiries about submissions from PMRA and work to create solid working relationships with all industry stakeholders
• Review and interpret federal and provincial pesticide regulations concerning product registration, import/export, packaging, labelling and shipping in order to provide further assistance to the RBD team.
