Country Heritage Park, an agricultural heritage attraction located in Milton, Ontario, seeks a new full-time General Manager (GM) with a passion for the past, present and future of Ontario agriculture.

As the most senior staff officer, the GM reports directly to a volunteer Board of Directors and is responsible for overall management of CHP.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Support to and collaboration with the Board in championing the organization’s growth and development as a self-sustaining operation; 
• Accountability for effective oversight of ongoing operations, finance and programming, and for staff/volunteer management; 
• Partnering and collaborating with agribusiness sponsors and volunteer organizations in fulfilling CHP’s mandate; 
• Identifying, recommending, implementing and managing new business initiatives and functional responsibilities needed to achieve CHP’s mission.

Position requirements include demonstrated effectiveness in leading and financially strengthening an organization, and hands-on competencies in business planning and development, advocacy and fundraising, and stakeholder/media relations and communications. Agricultural background and farm operations experience (livestock and crop management, physical plant operations) are preferred.
