We currently have an opportunity for an Operations Coordinator in our Vegetables Division at Monsanto. This role is responsible for the preparation and organization of documentation and transportation for shipments of seed to our customers and subsidiaries, both domestic and international. Additional responsibilities in this position include:

- Pull and review incoming sales or transfer orders.  Monitor orders throughout shipping process.

- Prepare and organize needed documentation, inspections, fumigations, etc. to meet export requirements on a designated shipment timeframe

- Troubleshoot and coordinate order issues or changes to meet required shipment timeframe

- Arrange and coordinate transportation pursuant to order specifications

- Coordinate and supply documentation to the warehouse to load shipment

- Distribute shipment documentation according to order requirements, and post shipment on system to initiate invoicing.

- Participate in all safety training as required by management, and complete on-line safety training as advised by Corporate. 

To maintain passing scores and attendance to meet Corporate requirements and guidelines on Safety training.  To understand and use safe practices in all aspects of job responsibilities.

- Provide assistance to the operations supervisor in the following areas:

- Plan, organize, and manage office activities to ensure timely shipping of customer orders, as well as timely receiving of crops and shipments into the facility.

- Implement procedures to ensure that all products meet established Quality Standards.  Interact with Quality to develop operating procedures on all new processes that could impact product quality.

- Cost control of budget expenditures in a cost effective manner.

- Manage the documentation process associated with the importing and exporting of shipments.



Required Skills/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Economics or related area

- Experience in the Seed business or Logistics/Operational planning

- Excellent analytical skills required

- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Desired Skills/Experience: 

- SAP knowledge highly desired
