Business Unit Description:
Winfield Solutions, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Land O’Lakes Inc., is an industry leader in crop protection and farm seed products, providing insights and expertise in this area. Our brands include AgriSolutions™ crop protection products and CROPLAN GENETICS® seed.

Position Purpose:
Responsible for day to day supply logistics service functions of product procurement and related functions to ensure the success of sales and profitably for Winfield Solutions LLC.
• Administration of assigned Agronomy Service Center (ASC) product procurement beginning with PO Requests/stocking programs, through purchase/movement approval, and ending with a shippable PO placed with a supplier.
• Monitors PO Requests from Agronomy Service Center managers.
• The other product purchases are driven by stocking programs. This position will decide where product is to be placed with information available in the business system e.g. inventory, YTD Sales, LY Sales, and forecast; CPP product strategy and direction: and their own knowledge of crop and product agronomics.
• This position will enter or do the final approval of all PO’s in the business system. 80% of the PO’s transmit electronically and 20% are called to the supplier. A small portion of the time will be working out pricing and terms with the smaller suppliers.
• This position will initiate product moves between ASC’s as needed or directed.
• This position will be assigned to specific ASC locations.
• Will be responsible to work out product substitutions if the substitution is for a different pack size or a branded product for a proprietary product.
• Reconciliation and correction of your PO’s versus supplier invoice differences.
• Will create or do final approval of PO’s and will be responsible for the PO up until the Billing Group vouchers the supplier invoice for subsequent payment by the Accounts Payable group.
• Responsible for ensuring that Winfield properly gets credit from suppliers for returned and over billed products.
• Primary contact with assigned ASC’s and supplier customer service personnel to ensure the timely receipt of product at the ASC’s and timely payment to the supplier.
• Will be responsible for the product from ordering to final destination. e.g. if ASC does not receive product, SLA must work with vendor to find out why product did not arrive, etc. Vendors on electronic system will provide LOL with shipping information electronically so SLA can help ASC manager determine where product might be, why product did not arrive, etc.
• Various other duties as assigned by Supervisor e.g.; updating costs in supplier catalog, return to vendors, exchanges, consignment, updating sales for accrual rebates, billing projects, training spring contractors, documenting various processes, monitoring various reports, new vendor requests, minimum freight spreadsheet, etc.
• SLA must update vendor costs in Winfield business system. This is critical to ensure over billed product invoices from suppliers are caught.

Required (Basic) Experience & Education:
• Post high school business education or five years of business experience.
• Proficient Microsoft Office Excel and Word skills necessary.
• High school diploma is required, however College degree is preferred.

Preferred Experience & Education:
• Four year degree in Ag related field with working knowledge of crop protection products.
• Supply Chain experience.
• Agriculture background.
