Job Description:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, dispensing over the counter and prescription medications as ordered, assisting with required health assessments for specified programs. Other duties include conducting required screening tests such as drug and alcohol testing, spirometry testing or audiometric testing <(>,,<)> maintaining OSHA, State and team member health records, and participating in plant safety and ergonomic programs. Other responsibilities include assisting with team member health promotion, education and training programs, and identifying workers' compensation cases, assisting with maintenance and documentation of workers' compensation files and performing other duties as the need arises. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Minimum academic preparation includes completion of licensed practical/vocational accredited school of nursing program and current license to practice as a license practical/vocational nurse in Nebraska. Experience: 1 plus years experience in the performance of nursing skills relative to Occupational Health Nursing, preferred. Current CPR/First Aid instructor certification, preferred. Communication, problem-solving and organizational skills desired. Computer Skills: Standard computer skills including generating simple letters, spreadsheets or creating simple queries. May require knowledge of the Tyson Business Computer System. Difficulty Of Duties: Work activities are variable and require judgement to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results and coordinating with others. Assignments are defined and the approach to be taken is usually determined in coordination with others.

VALID NEBRASKA NURSING LICENSE REQUIRED.
