Field Research Associate: Auction Market Test Research Sites This research project will install, operate and test multiple commercially available RFID reader technologies in multiple test sites across Canada. To support the data collection at each auction market, a field research associate (FRA) will be hired. This person will work on contract for CCIA and report to the Project Manager. The position will be a term contract commencing November of 2009- September of 2010. It is expected that you will work one day a week, between 8-10 hours per day, with an hourly rate of $18. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: 1. Liaise between auction markets, technology vendors, producers and Project Manager. 2. Actively deploy the RFID scanning systems. 3. Accurately, consistently and effectively collect the scanning data in an approved data collection method. 4. Work with technology vendors, auction mart owners and project manager to trouble shoot processes and ensure efficient and effective operating protocols of the RFID scanning systems. 5. Report data collection, issues, recommendations and problems in a weekly approved format to the project manager. Competencies Required: 1. High level of technical understanding and competency 2.
