Enterprise Development Specialist, Liberia We are currently seeking a long-term expert in the field of enterprise development for an upcoming multiyear program in Liberia. The project aims to increase private enterprise growth and investment while increasing agricultural productivity. The position is contingent on ACDI/VOCA being awarded the program.
Responsibilities: - Provide technical assistance to program beneficiaries in one or more of the following fields: rural enterprise development, private sector development, marketing and cross-border trade.
- Provide technical assistance in the capacity building and training of business teams.
- Oversee local business advisors and teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Analyze market data and research to increase successful business development activities.
- Maintain and develop strong partnerships with investors, lenders, entrepreneurs and any other associated stakeholder.
Qualifications:
- advanced degree in agriculture, agribusiness, agricultural economics or related field from an accredited university required
- minimum 10 years of field experience in farm or non-farm business and marketing expertise
- minimum of eight years in training and capacity building of business teams and rural enterprises
- proven expertise in value chain program development and cross-border trade
- experience in Liberia or in the region is highly desired
