Agribusiness Specialist, Liberia We are currently seeking a long-term expert in the field of agribusiness and business development services for an upcoming multiyear program in Liberia. The project aims to increase private enterprise growth and investment while increasing agricultural productivity. The position is contingent on ACDI/VOCA being awarded the program.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance to program beneficiaries in one or more of the following fields: agricultural value chain development, agricultural supply chain management, private sector development, business development services, marketing, regional and international trade facilitation and policy, investment promotion and extension services.
• Provide technical assistance to agricultural product development via viable market orientation, taking into account the marketing issues related to the transition to high-value products.
• Maintain and develop strong partnerships with cooperatives, partners, collaborators, rural finance institutions and any other associated stakeholder.
Qualifications:
• advanced degree in agriculture, agribusiness, agricultural economics or related field from an accredited university required
• minimum 10 years of professional work experience in agribusiness development
• minimum of five years of experience managing a for-profit agribusiness enterprise
• proven expertise in regional and international trade policy
• experience in Liberia or in the region is highly desired
