Conservation Manager - Commercial Focus

This is a rare opportunity to be part of the continued development of the large
scale commercial farming operation in the role of Conservation Manager. Native
flora and fauna conservation is one of the core activities of this unique pastoral company. As Conservation Manager you will work to preserve areas of high biodiversity value
by formulating and implementing conservation plans, directing and implementing
research activities as set by the company. The successful applicant will also work
closely with pastoral managers to ensure sustainability of land management practices. Based at Dunkeld, in the foothills of the Grampians Ranges, you will oversee the day to
day management of conservation related activities and will have full staff management
responsibilities for one direct report and casual labour. As the successful applicant, it is envisaged that you will possess the following; - Extensive hands on experience in a conservation leadership role
- The ability to lead, motivate and mentor a diverse team of people
- Strong interpersonal and highly developed communication skills
- Initiative and leadership with a strategic approach
- A strong team focus and willingness to work within a commercial,
farming environment. Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science /Sustainability or related discipline
will be highly regarded, as will your relevant background and experience. A very
