Graduate Research Officer Our client is a leading Agricultural Research and Development company
providing quality research and development to a wide range of Agribusiness.
Currently they are seeking a Research Officer to join their graduate program
which involves intensive training over 12 months. They have locations in several
states and provide quality research services to local national and global markets. The primary purpose of this position is to expose recent graduates to research in
a range of crops and geographic locations providing them with the essential skills
and knowledge to become an efficient and productive part of the research team. It
is expected that persons recruited to this position would be prepared to live and work
in various locations throughout Australia where the company has branches, to gain
exposure to a wide range of cropping systems and research projects while utilising the
full benefit of the knowledge and experience of company research staff. The final location for this position will be determined upon successful completion of the
graduate traineeship with consideration to the needs and interests of the employee and
company. The main objective while completing the graduate program is to plan and conduct
high quality agricultural research. Duties: - To carry out/assist with research trials in accordance with protocols
- To collate and complete statistical analysis of trial data using statistical software
to assist with preparation of trial reports - Present results and key findings in high quality scientific reports
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and agricultural industry
representatives - Contribute to the improvement of company systems and procedures
Skills - Strong computer & data management skills
- Analytical abilities to interpret scientific data and facts
- Good report writing skills
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities with good time management
- Self motivated with ability to work without supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Current drivers license
Qualifications - Degree in Agricultural Science or a related field
