Marketing / Supply Chain Manager – Abu Dhabi

Australia’s leading international development management company has been 
contracted to assist in the reform of the Emirates’ agricultural sector. A farmers’
association is being established as the primary vehicle for achieving the reform 
agenda and the association will aim to be financially self-sustaining and a technically
superior organisation providing both on-farm and off-farm services to participating 
farmer members across a diverse range of produce and livestock.

The Marketing Manager position will report directly to the Managing Director and be one
of several senior roles responsible for a key part of the Association’s operation. 
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Researching marketing opportunities, including local, regional and international
• Develop supply chain linkages with all sectors of the market
• Prepare and manage the implementation of the Association’s marketing strategy and plan
• Develop and promote quality standards for all major products in conjunction with the Extension Manager
• Develop long term supply contracts with supermarkets and other retail outlets
• Educate the market and promote the Association’s produce and encourage local consumption
• Supervise and train Association staff engaged in marketing activities
• Assist the MD with the preparation of business plans and budgets

The ideal candidate will possess appropriate tertiary qualifications combined with a minimum
of 10 years working in agricultural marketing of fresh produce in a commercial environment. 
Your past experience will include the design and implementation of promotional campaigns and
brand development ideally across a multi layered organisational structure with an international
staffing profile. In addition, you will have exposure to leadership in change management and be
a strong communicator with sound presentation and facilitation skills combined with an open,
flexible innovative working style.
