Successful candidates will assist Research and Development personnel in conducting a crop protection small-plot research program. This will involve the preparation of research materials, plot layout, application of compounds, record keeping, data collection, and analysis of results. Experience will be gained in agricultural practices, crop production, machinery operation, identification of weeds, insects and crop diseases, and trial methodology.

We are interested in all students currently registered in agriculture and related plant sciences. All experience levels and academic disciplines are welcome to apply. Experience with small-plot research would be an asset. Transportation between Guelph and Plattsville (approximately a 45 minute drive) will be provided. We offer a great work environment and a competitive salary. Syngenta also provides comprehensive summer student training, in addition to team meetings throughout the summer to help celebrate our successes.
