Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced entomologist with leadership skills to lead a cross-functional team within our Trait Development Platform. This person will work within a multi-disciplinary team aimed at developing strategies for insect control through transgenic approaches, including Insect Resistance Management studies. The candidate will also be responsible for engaging team members and working across Monsanto's wide range of functional teams to enhance our insect control efforts.

Required Skills:
Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. degree in Entomology or a related field with postdoctoral/Industry experience on laboratory and field, including the use of transgenic approaches for insect control. A solid understanding of insect biology, ecology, genetics, molecular biology and statistics is required. The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to lead a team and to question the status quo appropriatelly. A good literature and /or patent publication record in the relevant field is required. The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills in Portuguese and English, as well as being highly motivated and results-oriented. Additional experience with crop species and insect systems is valuable to meet the expected challenges of this position. Excellent organizational skills are required.
